Blue matcha is a powder made from the ground-up petals of the Butterfly Pea Flower, which is cultivated mainly in Thailand. An excellent caffeine-free drink, rich in antioxidants. Scientific studies have shown that amongst other components, Butterfly Pea tea is rich in EGCG catechins, flavonoids, tannins, polyphenols and anthocyanin and that it can help enhance the immune system, aid digestion, increase productivity as well as being a mood enhancer. It can also improve skin appearance, hair strength and promote quality sleep and it is traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine for relaxation and boosting the immune system. It has a slightly earthy, woody taste and can be incorporated in cocktails or juices to add an eye-catching purple colour. Preparation: 1level tsp / 250 ml hot or cold water
